Nampa Narcan Initiative

Our Mission

The Nampa Narcan initiative’s mission is to save lives and provide compassionate support to individuals affected by opioid addiction in Nampa. The program works hand in hand with community partners to raise awareness, promote education, and ensure access to life-saving resources like NARCAN® (naloxone) nasal spray. The goal is to empower individuals on their journey to recovery and foster a healthier, drug-free Nampa.

Key Components
  • Peer Recovery Support: Trained specialists, many with personal recovery experience, offer 24/7 assistance, guiding individuals through treatment and recovery processes.
  • Narcan Leave-Behind Program: In collaboration with Nampa Fire and EMS, the initiative provides overdose rescue kits to at-risk individuals, ensuring they have immediate access to NARCAN® in emergencies.
  • Community Partnerships: The program collaborates with local organizations, including the Nampa Fire Department and Nampa Police Department, to enhance outreach and support services.
  • Educational Outreach: Efforts are made to educate the community about opioid overdose prevention, the use of NARCAN®, and available support resources.
